Rachel and Rosemary

Rachel, is a qualified school teacher who went on to start a small company organizing rock climbing expeditions for corporate individuals and providing business lectures on leadership and teamwork. Rachel has lead expeditions and competed at international level in adventure races on six continents. Most of the expeditions have helped to raise funds for children’s charities and to elevate the profile of Eco Tourism. Rachel recently published her first book, In a High and Desperate Place. 10% of
her earnings are being donated to The Door of Hope Charity. Rosemary is Rachel’s one year old daughter. Rosemary likes the outdoors and her favourite food is scrambled egg. She weighs around 13kg.

Charlotte and Anna

1st Female South African Comrades Marathon winner and medical doctor, Charlotte was selected as the doctor for South Africa’s first expedition to Mt Everest. Charlotte represented South Africa in the 100km race of the Olympics. Charlotte is now a dedicated mother of four children, the two youngest are twins. Charlotte’s daughter, Anna is nine months old.
